My sculpting mentors in clay directed me to pursue some work in stone since my technique was often in a reduction process from a larger mass. This technique is also evident when I sculpt a sand piece at the beach. So presented are samplings of stone work in Indiana Limestone, a dense stone of nearly 100% Calcium Carbonate. Even though I still take environmental precaution in the carving process this purity makes it safe to work with without the release of silica. Stone offers many interesting surprises during the process and of course will be around for many years.

August, 2022: “FEEL” is juried in and accepted to be in the 30th Annual Emerald Coast National! On display from 8/26-10/21. For those that know me, they know this work represents a particular event in my life.
